Some stories find us exactly when we need them.

The right book can make us feel understood, spark curiosity, challenge how we see the world, or connect us to people we never expected to know.

That belief is what inspired Ink & Tide.

After years working in corporate DEI, I realized the moments that stayed with me most weren’t the meetings or presentations, they were the conversations that happened through stories. The book club I facilitated brought together people from completely different backgrounds, and somehow, through books, they found connection.

So I decided to build something rooted in community.

A person with tattoos on their arms and legs, wearing a striped shirt with rolled-up sleeves, sitting cross-legged, holding a book in front of their face. They are in front of a stack of multiple books and are positioned against a plain gray background.
A man with tattoos and a beard smiling while leaning on the back of a small white pickup truck on a residential street with trees and clouds in the sky.

Ink & Tide is a mobile bookstore designed to bring stories directly to people, meeting readers where they are. Part bookstore, part gathering space, Ink & Tide will travel to communities with carefully curated books, reader experiences, author events, and moments of discovery.

Built around two worlds:

Ink | mystery, horror, fantasy, thrillers, dark academia, and stories that linger.

Tide | romance, literary fiction, cozy reads, emotional stories, and books that feel like home.

Why now?

Because the truck has officially been purchased, the renovation is underway, and Ink & Tide is beginning to take shape. This is the very beginning, and Founding Readers will help shape what it becomes.

As a Founding Reader, you’ll receive:
